Adams’ Chart of History

Adams’ Chart of History
by Sebastian Adams

Adams’ Chart of History is an excellent, illustrated time-line of earth history. This chart has 21 panels measuring 13 inches wide X 28 inches high each which unfold, accordion style, to nearly 25 feet long. The panels feature detailed, full-color drawings of various stages of history, from biblical creation (Adam & Eve) to the year 1870 A.D. It was first published in 1871 with handwritten commentary throughout. It is based on James Ussher’s The Annals of the World and about 20 other different sources, including the Bible.

This monumental work of history is perfect for school history classes, Sunday school, and a home library. The chart is a visually interesting way to trace early history’s inventions, discoveries, and events. The time-line shows what was going on in countries around the world at the same time as the Old and New Testament times as well as the Christian age from Christ to 1870 A.D.
